The Smart eyesaver-Team

Our goal is to provide Europe’s leading ergonomic solution for all health-conscious managers and employees who consider compliance with ergonomic requirement in the workplace and preventive healthcare to be important.

Our software solution automatically makes recommendations for breaks based on work intensity and for natural rest while taking into account that breaks are recommended when really needed. We not only consider the intensity of mouse and keyboard, but also monitor the behaviour of eyes in order to prevent serious illnesses.

Behind the team of Smart eyesaver, ophthalmologists of the Péterfy Sándor Street Hospital provide the adequate background and, with the most modern equipments in Europe, the possibility of appropriate control and proposed examinations.

History of Smart eyesaver

The founders’ (Tomi and Rita) daughter, Kitti liked to watch a counting tale. She did not watch any other and if she was allowed she would have been on it around the clock. She loved it. The parents could not decide how much time their daughter should spend in front of the screen.
It is one thing that we work 6-8 hours a day on laptop but what about a child?

”We had no idea and when we checked it in forums we could not find any guidance. We had half-one hour in our head but whether it is good? You know the feeling! You want to give the best but you have no idea what it is. There are always questions in our head like: - Am I a good parent if I allow my child to play with the devices? Or should she be banned from watching the tale? One day I watched her staring at the screen. I made a video and was shocked. Guess how many times she blinked in a minute. All right, I will tell you: not even one. As you can see in the video:"

"From then on, I started to research the cause of not blinking.
And what are the consequences for the eyes.
I made a shocking discovery.
What was new to us is a well-known problem in medicine for a long time."

"The increased use of monitor and mobile phone causes and enhances the following problems: crossed eyes (astigmatism), near-sightedness (myopia),  far-sightedness (hypermetropia)  and hidden strabismus (heterophoria)."

In addition, the “Dry Eye Syndrome” is also known that causes eye pain and headache. Why? Because we stare at the screen. Up to 10 hours a day.
I have decided to change that!. We need to develop a software that monitors the use and “gently” makes us to use our eyes, head and upper body in a healthier way in front of the screen.
I also decided that there should be a software for adults for the usage of screens and laptops and another one for children and young people for mobile phones.
